Service Technician role based in Luscombe, Brisbane

 

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity awaits within the world's leading water technology company. Grundfos Pumps in Australia is seeking the skills of a talented Service Technician to join our Service Delivery team based out of our Luscombe, (Brisbane) office, servicing our customers in Queensland.

 

A job that balances both Family & work - no FIFO, no shift work, no on-call roster etc.

 

What you will be doing:

Some of the activities that you would undertake day to day include:

  • Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace parts, reassemble pumps, pump systems, and accessories, mainly in the workshop.
  • Assessment of variable speed drives and motor interfacing and monitoring systems.
  • Utilising App and tablet-based reporting technology to complete tasks, and create lead generation information to internal sales teams, which in turn promotes service growth.
  • Prepare prompt & clear and complete service reports and ensure that these are submitted on time and as per the company requirements and format (such as warranty claims, working hours, sales lead generation, fault analysis reports etc.)
  • On occasions, travel may be required to undertake service related tasks, or training.
  • As required, provide phone based technical support for customers in conjunction with our Customer Service & Technical Support Team.
  • Upkeep of the workshop and general area and 5S standards.
  • Pack, send, prepare, receive & store deliveries to and from the workshop.

 

Who you are… and what you’ll need to know:

The ideal applicant will embody the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Experience with electrical/mechanical hydraulic systems and/or pumps and rotational equipment.
  • Having a ‘restricted’ QLD electrical license (disconnect/reconnect), or be eligible to obtain one after commencement.
  • Having a full QLD electrical licence would be an advantage.
  • Have a full Australian recognised drivers’ license.
  • Being accountable and reliable,  prompt and punctual.
  • Be self-driven, autonomous and outcome focused.
  • High level of communication skills.
  • Experience using information platforms such as SAP, would be an advantage.
  • Experience in using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Be able to operate a forklift / or willing to obtain a licence after commencing.
