As our new Sales Engineer, you will be driving sales growth and strengthening customer partnerships across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, with a focus on municipal markets. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Commercial Sales, you'll create impact by building trusted partnerships with key customers to deliver tailored pumping solutions that support critical water infrastructure across Queensland and Northern New South Wales..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Achieve sales growth and margin targets within your assigned customer portfolio 
  • Develop and execute annual tactical sales plans, managing a healthy pipeline of opportunities from prospecting through to close
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal  customers, managing expectations and delivering outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits to understand needs, present solutions, and identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, service, and management to deliver on team targets and support customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key metrics including pipeline management, CSSC, and sales excellence KPIs

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a results-driven sales professional with strong relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and an understanding of the municipal water or industrial sectors. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical or engineering sales, ideally within water, pumping, or related infrastructure industries
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships, build trust, and grow accounts in a territory-based sales role
  • Strong commercial skills including pipeline management, forecasting, and achieving sales targets
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly across the assigned territory

It is a plus if you also:

  • Background in the municipal water sector with a solid understanding of local government procurement and decision-making processes
  • Knowledge of pumps, hydraulic systems, or fluid handling equipment
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or a related discipline
