Purchasing Specialist
Job Description

What is the job about?

The purpose of the Purchasing Specialist is the following:   

  • Deliver consistently high Customer satisfaction on behalf of Group Purchasing as business Partner for the Local business stakeholders.
  • Conduct Value Based Sourcing across the Categories within the local scope
  • A continuously optimization of the Operational Excellence, Innovation and Sustainability delivered from Suppliers.
  • Responsible for handling the company´s local end-to-end sourcing operations/activities
  • Support relevant functions to improve supplier performance

 

Your main responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing Process related activities:

  • Support / participate in sourcing initiatives across the Region in alignment with the regional sourcing strategy
  • Support the implementation of regional sourcing strategy to specifically support local business needs and roadmap
  • Provide local insight into supply market and local business requirements.
  • Implementation of best practises, compliance with purchasing processes and tools
  • Responsible for value & savings vs. cost avoidance delivery for the spend in scope
  • Optimize suppliers portfolio
  • Lead local negotiations/tendering & future E-auction process
  • Ensure favorable and compliant contracts implementation and management
  • Act as a Business Partner for the local business stakeholders
  • Be a part of a team of cross-functional key stakeholders between Plant with APAC Group Purchasing

Ensure foundation for Supplier Relationship Management, data transparency and reporting abilities for indirect suppliers, including but not limited to:

  • Facilitation of business reviews
  • Definition and maintenance of preferred suppliers lists.
  • Suppliers performance assessment and development.   
  • Support solving of suppliers related issues

 

What do you need to apply? 

We expect you have:

  • English is working language, fluent English is a must; Japanese or Korean will be a plus;
  • 2-3 years experience in indirect purchasing area, MRO and facility category will be preferred
  • With solid SAP/ Ariba etc.ERP experience & strong data analytical abilities
  • Able to execute multiple assignments and with competency to adapt in a changing environment;
  • Good communication skill and problem-solving skills ;
  • Good negotiation skills with proven track record of cost savings.
