As our new Purchasing Specialist Indirect - Logistics, you will be shaping and executing sourcing strategies for logistics services, optimizing our indirect supplier base, and delivering measurable cost savings across regional operations. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Indirect Purchasing - Logistics team, you'll create impact by Driving competitive sourcing outcomes that strengthen Grundfos's supply chain resilience and deliver tangible value across our logistics operations..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Define and implement sourcing category strategies for logistics services by analyzing spend structures, market trends, and cost drivers in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Drive end-to-end sourcing projects for indirect logistics suppliers, managing supplier portfolios and optimizing spend in line with Grundfos's strategic sourcing process
- Lead negotiations with logistics suppliers and close contracts that deliver the best commercial outcomes while adhering to Grundfos purchase policy and values
- Build and maintain savings pipelines, tracking progress and aligning with regional teams and Category Managers to meet targets
- Challenge business specifications, purchasing demands, and supplier structures to identify optimization opportunities and cost-effective solutions
- Take commercial ownership of contracts with external indirect suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with ethical standards
This position reports to our Head of CoE, Logistics and could operates in a hybrid or totally remote model from multiple locations in Mexico.
Please note that relocation is not supported for this role. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in Mexico without sponsorship.
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a commercially sharp procurement professional with strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and a talent for influencing stakeholders to drive sourcing excellence in logistics. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-4+ years of experience in indirect purchasing, sourcing, or procurement — ideally within logistics or supply chain services
- Proven ability to lead sourcing processes or projects from strategy through contract execution
- Strong negotiation capabilities with a solid understanding of cost drivers, supplier markets, and commercial contract management
- Experience working with logistics category spend (freight, warehousing, distribution services)
- Familiarity with strategic sourcing tools, ERP systems, and spend analytics platforms
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and compliance frameworks
