As our new Welder, you will be performing expert welding operations on pump components and assemblies, ensuring every weld meets Grundfos's rigorous quality and safety standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What you will be doing

 

As a key part of the Manufacturing Production team, you'll create impact by Delivering precision welds that ensure the reliability and durability of water technology solutions used by millions of people worldwide.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other metals per engineering specifications and work orders
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to determine weld requirements and joint configurations
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and conformance using visual inspection and measurement tools
  • Set up and maintain welding equipment, fixtures, and tooling to ensure consistent performance and minimize downtime
  • Follow all safety protocols including proper use of PPE, ventilation, and hot work procedures
  • Collaborate with production team members and quality inspectors to troubleshoot weld defects and implement corrective actions

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a detail-oriented welding professional with strong hands-on fabrication skills, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented manufacturing setting. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 2+ years of production welding experience (MIG, TIG, or both) in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in welding stainless steel and carbon steel materials
  • High school diploma or equivalent

It is a plus if you also:

  • AWS welding certification (e.g., D1.1, D1.6) or equivalent recognized credential
  • Experience with automated or robotic welding systems
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices

The salary range for this position is $ 44,900.00 - $56,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
