Product Development Engineer
Job Description

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Product Development team, you'll create impact by Driving product excellence by ensuring that every design meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness across Grundfos's global product portfolio..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the technical execution of engineering projects, including product maintenance, variant creation, and cost analysis using standardized development methods
  • Plan and conduct tests and laboratory tasks in compliance with relevant norms and product approval standards, including writing test descriptions and analyzing results
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation in compliance with product producing processes, including design journals and product approval documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including manufacturing engineers, category managers, suppliers, and product managers to ensure requirements are met
  • Assist as project manager on smaller engineering projects, applying new technologies and research know-how to engineering and maintenance activities
  • Ensure that product quality, functionality, and production costs meet specified requirements throughout the development process

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a hands-on engineer with solid product development experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions — comfortable working with testing, documentation, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced engineering environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a similar technical discipline
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in product development or design engineering
  • Technical knowledge of product development processes, testing methods, and documentation practices
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written

It is a plus if you also:

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production technology
  • Experience with product cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives
  • Familiarity with product approval standards and certification processes
