Do you enjoy turning complex product information into structured data and smart configuration logic? Are you motivated by creating reliable solutions that connect customer needs, product features and production capability?
What is the job about?
As a Data & Configuration Engineer, you will develop and maintain product data and product configurators for an agreed product area. You will ensure that master data, product structures and configuration models are accurate, scalable and ready to support the full value chain, from product selection and pricing to manufacturing and service.
You will work mainly with SAP product data and SAP LOVC or comparable configuration tools, in close collaboration with engineering, Product Management, sales, production, service, logistics and IT/GPLM colleagues in a global environment.
“Strong products need both trusted data and configuration logic that works across the value chain. For our systems products, the configuration tool is also an important customer interface. It supports an easy and reliable system-selection journey by guiding users toward the right solution and translating their needs into a valid product configuration. We are looking for someone who enjoys structure, detail and collaboration, and who can turn complex requirements into practical solutions.” - Ivy Zhu, Capability Manager, Systems
Your main responsibilities
- Create and maintain product and material master data, BOMs, product structures, documents and lifecycle information, mainly in SAP.
- Act as data steward for the assigned products and ensure data is accurate, complete, consistent and traceable.
- Analyze customer, product and production requirements and translate them into configuration logic.
- Build, test and maintain scalable configurators in SAP LO-VC or a comparable environment.
- Define configuration rules and outputs supporting product selection, pricing, BOMs and routings.
- Support product releases, engineering changes, e-commerce, ETIM, Grundfos Product Center and BIM data needs when relevant.
- Improve product-data quality, configuration models, tools and workflows.
- Contribute to Scrum team deliveries and communicate progress, dependencies and risks proactively.

We imagine that you have:
