As our new Regional Sales Manager, Municipal Wastewater, you will be managing regional sales efforts for Newterra's aeration products across municipal wastewater treatment applications, driving growth through your Manufacturer's Representative network while building relationships with municipal customers, consulting engineers, and contractors.

This position follows a remote work model and can be based anywhere in the United States.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Newterra Municipal Sales team, you'll create impact by driving regional growth by delivering innovative aeration solutions that help municipalities treat wastewater more effectively and sustainably.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Manage, coach, and develop our Manufacturer's Representatives to achieve annual sales and order quotas, including recruiting, training, and performance monitoring.
- Drive new business through prospecting, customer visits, and relationship management with municipal utilities, consulting engineers, and contractors.
- Lead sales opportunities from early project development through specification, bidding, negotiation, and fully executed purchase orders.
- Provide technical and consultative guidance on Newterra's mechanical aeration systems for SBR, oxidation ditch, and lagoon applications.
- Develop regional sales plans, forecast pipeline performance, identify market trends, and pursue new market opportunities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, representatives, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a results-driven sales professional with deep technical knowledge of municipal wastewater treatment processes, proven experience managing Manufacturer's Representative networks, and the ability to guide complex projects from specification through execution. We would also imagine that you have:
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a similar industry with a proven track record of achieving results.
- Strong technical knowledge of municipal wastewater treatment processes, including mechanical aeration, SBR, oxidation ditch, and lagoon systems.
It is a plus if you also have:
- Knowledge of municipal wastewater regulations and permitting processes
- Experience managing a Manufacturer's Representative network.
You'll also be available for travelling up to 30% per year.

The salary range for this position is $69,300 - $126,00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Newterra’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, commissions for sales employees, etc. Salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in the Northeast US.
