Senior Aftermarket Sales Engineer

What is the job about?              
Your day

 

You are finalizing a commercial proposal for the renovation of a large boiler house. The renovation offers the customer significant energy savings and higher functionality through innovative monitoring systems. This concerns end-to-end solutions from engineering to after-sales, providing maximum support to the customer.

 

You then have two virtual meetings with major end users to explore their needs and which innovative Grundfos solutions match them. Solutions can vary from basic services, tailor-made service contracts to as-a-service concepts, tailor-made to the criticalities and vitality of the assets.

 

In the car on the way to your appointment to discuss extensive cooperation with the asset management of a national installer, you call your sales colleagues to see which projects are hot and how can our service concepts provide added value.

 

At the end of the afternoon, you update your administration and prepare an important presentation for the next morning to the energy manager of a large hotel chain. You start your evening satisfied.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales targets and goals.
  • Conduct customer prospect calls to quantify opportunities.
  • Connect with multiple stakeholders at customer sites (reliability engineers, plant managers, Asset managers, Sustainability officers, Facility managers).
  • Develop detailed pre-call planning process and risk assessment before on-site visits.
  • Represent Grundfos at tradeshows, exhibits, seminars, short courses, etc.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the vision of our digital services to our end-users.
  • Travel with external sales (Sales & Service) to visit customers and be able to coach and guide them towards new propositions conducting value-based selling.
  • Proactively provide customer and user feedback to our development team working on the digital services.
  • Provide subject matter specialist consultation to sales engineers and Key Account Managers regarding selection of service products, preparation, and presentation of quotations.
  • Proactively identify new sales leads and facilitate the service sales process for specific customers, markets, products, or industry (this responsibility may be reduced if Business Developer Role is established within the organization).

 

 

Your background:

We imagine that you have: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience preferred and minimum 5 years’ experience selling into Building Services Markets
  • Very good communication skills – written and verbal.  Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Curious attitude with experience in a consultative selling approach
  • Ability to operate sales processes or projects within the digital offering environment (value-based selling).
  • Exemplary good communication skills
  • Comprehensive technical understanding, knowledge and commercial mindset regarding selling and delivering digital offerings and services and OPEX related deals.
  • Proven implementation of best practices in running a high Impact meetings, storytelling, impactful discovery, and enterprise org planning
  • Proven history of success in customer growth/upselling
