What is the Job all about?

 

The Senior Network Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and secure data transmission across all systems. This role focuses on building resilient architecture, upgrading and integrating advanced network technologies, and safeguarding the environment against evolving cyber threats. In addition to resolving complex technical issues, the consultant plays a key role in mentoring junior engineers, fostering their professional growth, and serving as an escalation point for challenging problems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, ensuring that network performance not only meets technical standards but also aligns with broader business objectives and supports organizational growth.

 

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Drive operational efficiency across assigned Area/Platform in alignment with DA/SA.
  • Ensure the Area/Platform has the capabilities needed to meet business and technical demands.
  • Maintain and validate high-quality Runbooks.
  • Conduct knowledge transfers to peers, IS Onsite Services, IS Support Services, and IT Security teams.
  • Participate in and contribute to project work and initiatives.
  • Define architectural directions, standards, and guidelines for the Area/Platform.
  • Oversee major operational activities within the Area/Platform.
  • Provide 3rd-level support and manage interactions with existing partners and vendors.
  • Handle non-standard changes, including service windows and major system changes.
  • Design and implement enterprise network solutions.
  • Deliver expert technical consulting advice to internal or external clients.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, compliance requirements, and best practices. Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve overall network performance.
  • Contribute technical documentation, proposals, and solution designs.
  • Participate in problem records, PIT teams, and incident resolution processes.
  • Execute Scrum-generated work items and support Agile delivery. Support continuous deployment practices.
  • Drive and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Your background:

 

Network Infrastructure Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN administration and configuration
  • Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and storage systems
  • Proficiency in backup solutions, operating systems, and enterprise applications

 

Advanced Network Design & Architecture

  • Ability to design and implement complex network solutions for large-scale projects
  • Familiarity with cloud networking, virtualization, and hybrid environments

 

Security & Compliance

  • Deep understanding of network security protocols and standards
  • Experience with intrusion detection/prevention, VPNs, and secure access solutions
  • 8–10 years of experience in network engineering or consulting roles
  • Proven track record in delivering client-facing consulting services and managing enterprise-level projects
  • Experience working with multinational or complex organizations is often preferred

 

 

Certifications:

CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE; cloud credentials (Azure, AWS); and firewall certifications (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Juniper).
