Senior Accountant, Record to Report

As our new Senior Accountant, Record to Report, you will be serving as the Record to Report gatekeeper for assigned entities, owning end-to-end General Ledger activities, financial close processes, and reconciliations within our Global Shared Services organization.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Finance Services - Record to Report team, you'll create impact by Ensuring the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting across Grundfos entities, enabling confident decision-making at every level of the organization..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Deliver timely and accurate Month End and Year End Close activities in compliance with Group reporting schedules, acting as the single point of contact for RtR during period close
  • Perform high-quality analysis of balances and movements, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies and accounting issues
  • Ensure full compliance with Group Accounting principles, policies, and reporting requirements across assigned entities
  • Support internal and external audits with clear documentation, ownership, and explanations related to RtR scope
  • Handle escalations and complex accounting scenarios independently, proposing corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with Business Finance, local entities, and cross-functional Finance Service areas to provide reliable stakeholder support

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a detail-oriented finance professional with deep Record to Report expertise, strong SAP and Excel skills, and the confidence to independently manage complex accounting scenarios while collaborating effectively across global teams. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Record to Report accounting, including General Ledger, accruals, reconciliations, and financial close activities
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP and high proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Proven experience managing Month End Close and Year End Close processes in line with corporate timelines

 

It is a plus if you also:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple finance teams, controllers, and regional entities
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience in process optimization and standardization
