What is the Job all about?
The Purchasing Specialist drives value-based sourcing, operational excellence, and sustainability while optimizing TCO and supporting digital initiatives across logistics and procurement.
Your main responsibilities:
- Provide support related to sourcing and relationship activities in close cooperation with the Category Managers.
- Collaborate with Category Managers on sourcing and relationship activities.
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies using advanced purchasing tools.
- Prepare data and fact packs for supplier negotiations.
- Conduct market intelligence research to identify cost drivers, trends, and best practices.
- Drive value and savings delivery within assigned categories.
- Optimize supplier portfolios and manage tendering processes.
- Assist in contract creation and management, ensuring compliance and transparency.
- Provide reporting and data visibility through SAP TM, S2P, and support CoE Logistics initiatives.
- Facilitate supplier business reviews and maintain preferred supplier lists.
- Support supplier performance assessment and development programs.
Your background:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience within logistics sourcing.
- Knowledge of best practices and relevant systems for business support.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking; proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI preferred.
- Result- and action-oriented mindset. Familiarity with SAP TM, S2P, and digital procurement tools is a plus.
- Expected travel: maximum 10%.
