Category Buyer (IT & Digital)

Are you interested to work as a Category Buyer for our IT & Digital team? In this role, you will consistently deliver high Customer satisfaction on behalf of Group Purchasing as business partner for the group functions and business stakeholders.
What is the Job all about?
As a Category Buyer, you will conduct Value-Based sourcing within the assigned Categories. You will also ensure continuous optimization of the Operational Excellence, Innovation and Sustainability delivered from Suppliers. Lastly, ensure TCO optimization in the industry/ category.
This role will be directly reporting to the Head of Purchasing CoE IT & Digital and will be based in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Among other exciting tasks, you will:
• Support development of sourcing strategy
• Execute the Sourcing strategy by using the existing Purchasing Tools
• Prepare data and fact packs for supplier negotiations
• Support market intelligence research and analysis activities for visibility in key cost drivers and market trends, industry best practices.
• Support value & savings delivery for the category – including leading negotiations and tendering processes
• Conduct negotiations and tendering
• Support supplier portfolio optimization
• Ensure favorable and compliant contracts closure implementation and management
• Support data transparency activities and reporting activities
• Support preparation and facilitation of business reviews
• Support the supplier’s performance assessment and development.
• Ensure optimization on relevant KPI´s (e.g. Savings, cost avoidance, average payment days)
• Deliver Value creation beyond price through proactive development of spend management, supplier portfolio and performance, quality, sustainability, partnership and innovation
• Assess supplier performance against Grundfos key business requirements within the category
• Manage contracts with external suppliers in compliance with Group policies, standards and requirements on sustainability, ethics and Grundfos values.
What do you need to apply:
• Relevant commercial/technical education
• Minimum 3-5 years professional experience within indirect sourcing in a global organization preferably within IT & Telecom
• Insight into and understanding of the IT industry
• Knowledge of best practises and relevant systems for business support
• Good communication skills
• Analytical and strategic thinking
• Result- and action oriented
• Self driven and pro-active mindset
• Expected travel is maximum - 10% of time
