What is the job about?
The Shipping function is to ensure the best possible operation in terms of procurement, planning & management of shipping services to support suppliers, production, DC, Grundfos Sales & customers
The purpose of the position is following:
- Daily execution of shipping according to agreed plans and service levels
- Coordinate the physical distribution for production/DC functions both inbound from suppliers, and outbound to customers
- Support functional KPIs
- Participate and execute continuous improvement projects and cost saving initiatives
Your main responsibilities:
- Daily execution of shipping
- Collaboration with Warehouses, Freight Forwarders
- Communication to internal and external stakeholders (Sales, customers, plants, DCs, 3PLs, suppliers and authorities)
- Ensure custom and VAT compliance for import (pre-alerts, licenses) and export of goods (export declarations, certificates of origin, booking with forwarders), as well as invoicing freight to fulfil local and regional regulations
- Support process development within shipping
- Support shipping related customer requests
- Handling shipping related Quality incidents
- Freight Forwarder invoice controlling
Your background:
We imagine that you have:
- Relevant logistical background, e.g. Bachelor/master’s degree, or relevant commercial experience (min. 2 years in shipping/transportation)
- Confident in English written and spoken.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
- Good internal and external stakeholder management
- Decision maker with ability to take actions and solve problems
- MS Office and SAP knowledge is advantage
