What is the job about? 

Grundfos Industry is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Intern to join our Sales Distribution team and help showcase our product line to drive new sales opportunities.

 

In this role, you will support the coordination and scheduling of our Industry Showcase Trailer (dual axle), which is transported by a pickup truck. You will track trailer usage, document visit locations determined by our Outside Sales team, measure engagement through touchpoints and company visits throughout the summer and promote these activities via social media.

 

This is a part-time, 3‑month, remote internship, working closely with our District Sales Managers.

 

Please note that relocation is not available for this position, and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the USA without support.

 

Your main responsibilities

  • Manage the transportation, appearance, and overall cleanliness of the showcase trailer. The ability to safely drive and operate the trailer is a plus.
  • Register and document all trailer trips and attendee participation.
  • Assist in delivering presentations as needed.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for Grundfos on social media and support the outside sales team in promotional efforts. Social media can be LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Instagram as approved by manager.
  • Produce social media content specifically highlighting the trailer and its activities.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of trailer stops.
  • Develop a slide deck summarizing summer activities, key learnings, and your experience as an Outside Sales Intern, and present it to stakeholders.

 

Your background

  • Qualified candidates will be in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Business or marketing majors will also be considered.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license; a valid passport is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 3-4 days per workweek.
  • Strong PC skills, including above‑average proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and an aptitude for learning new systems and tools.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and a systematic approach to tasks and business needs.
  • Ability to assist in developing and delivering presentations for various audience sizes and organizational levels, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States.

 

The starting pay for this position is $22 USD per hour. Actual pay will depend on skill set, experience, and location.
