As our new Aftermarket Sales Engineer, you will be driving aftermarket sales growth across the Commercial Building Services market in New South Wales, actively identifying new customers and opportunities while delivering expert technical advice on pump solutions, energy-saving services, and preventive maintenance programs. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Commercial Building Services - Aftermarket Sales team, you'll create impact by Expanding Grundfos's aftermarket footprint in a developing market by combining technical expertise with a proactive sales approach to help customers optimize their pump systems and reduce energy consumption..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Proactively hunt for new customers, prospects, and sales opportunities to grow aftermarket revenue and profit in your designated territory
  • Prepare and deliver tailored product sales and service offerings, ensuring customer issues are resolved with appropriate follow-up
  • Advise customers on pumps, spare parts, repair & maintenance, preventive maintenance, system solutions, and energy-saving/digital service offerings
  • Develop and execute the sales budget for your area, delivering on both qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Maintain comprehensive customer data including visit schedules, service sales pipeline, quotation status, and opportunity tracking
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships through networking, trade shows, and consistent after-sales engagement

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a resilient, self-driven sales professional with strong pump industry expertise, a hunting mindset, and the adaptability to thrive in a developing market where persistence and a positive attitude are essential. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the pump industry
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively develop new business rather than relying on inbound enquiries

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC industry
  • Knowledge of energy consumption analysis and energy-saving solutions
  • Background at a competing pump manufacturer or HVAC systems company
