What is the job about? 

Grundfos Americas Corporation is seeking an experienced Field Sales Manager (FSM) to join its Groundwater and Irrigation sales team. The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the relationships with the Key Decision Makers for the Groundwater and Irrigation sales team. The Field Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to grow the Grundfos business by defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling the activities with our partners in the Upper Midwest Region. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will operate remotely. The selected candidate must reside in the Wisconsin & Minnesota area. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

 

Your main responsibilities: 

•Develop and maintain a sales plan aimed at the Key Decision Maker (KDM) in the Groundwater business which are the Dealers.
•Develop and maintain a Dealer sales plan targeting high potential sales prospects.  
Evaluate training needs for Dealers in a defined market and set up customized training programs based on the needs of those Dealers.
•Prioritize sales activities based on data analytics to optimize T&E spend while traveling in the market.
Assess inventory levels at dealer locations, both Grundfos and competitive, and develop a plan to convert more products to Grundfos. 
•Ensure Grundfos Dealers have the proper tools to promote, sell, and service Grundfos products.  
•Develop new Dealer roll out including initial orders, marketing needs, staff training, and over onboarding plan.
•Capture competitive data, such as pricing information, from targeted markers to ensure Grundfos is properly positioned to the market.
•The FSM will commute and work with the Key Account Manager (KAM) to ensure buying habits of Grundfos.
•Dealers are communicated up into the Sales, Operations, Inventory & Planning (SIOP) process to improve inventory planning. 
•The FSM will develop, maintain, and execute an expense forecast.
•The FSM will maintain data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system including Dealer staff contact info, sales activities with the Dealer, phone calls, and other interactions with dealers. 
•The FSM will manage expenses to an agreed upon level and provide reporting in accordance with specific Grundfos Policies and Procedures.
•The FSM will prepare a monthly report to review with their manager on their past 30-day activities and their plans for the next 30 days.
•The FSM will utilize sales activity reporting tools and ensure their sales plans are planned out at least 45 days in advance. 
•The FSM will keep track of competitive sales data and develop a territory sales plan to ensure maximization of T&E expenses are made.        

 

Your background: 
•Field experience selling, servicing, or installing submersible pumps.   
•Must be able to travel up to 100-120 days per year if necessary. Thus, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
