Specification Engineer, CBS - Mexico, CenAm & Carib

What is the job about?  

The Specification Engineer is responsible for establishing contact and developing collaboration with consultants, engineering firms and end users MEPs. Identifies project opportunities and provides technical support. Their role involves specifying the most suitable solutions for diverse applications aligned with regional strategies.

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager, México & Central America  and will operate daily out of the Ciudad de México, MX office. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in México without support.
 

Your main responsibilities:  

• Build and maintain positive relationships with the top engineering firms and main stakeholders including end users, design institute, architectural firms, authorities, etc. Understanding their specific needs and requirements.
• Proactively identify and develop opportunities for involvement in significant projects within the Commercial building industry.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and engineering partners, ensuring they have access to the necessary information to make informed decisions.
• Develop and implement training programs for key partners, end users and consultants to enhance their understanding of product specifications and applications.
• Identify project specifications and requirements to specify the most suitable solution, with a particular focus development for E-products.
• According to pipeline target, work out the strategy and action plan in the specific business area of the specific region. 
• Developing new business areas and collaborative partnerships, developing and coordinating activities in conjunction with the marketing team, aimed at adding value to relationships.
• Project pipelines follow up and handover to the sales team, in charge of get information on stakeholders at the construction site to ensure the sales team's efficient follow-up.
   

Your background:  

We imagine that you have:   

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years working experience
• Experience developing process within Commercial Buildings segment
• Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, installers, and end users
• Solid knowledge of plans, process, and activities in Commercial Buildings segment
• Great ability of influence others
• Specific technical knowledge of products, systems, and local regulation
• Will be required to travel up to 50% if necessary. Thus, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification
