Grundfos is on the hunt for an experienced  SALES ENGINEER!

 

The primary focus for the role is to drive sales and grow a strong relationship within the area. You will be responsible for driving a strong pipeline and ensuring optimum hit rate, The Sales Engineer must proactively ensure market knowledge and developments being both passionate about customer experience and sales.

 

The job:

The main target is to achieve the sales target in the assigned area. The ideal candidate will consistently follow and improve, where possible, our sales policies, procedures and systems whilst knowledge sharing with the team, taking responsibility for their own competence development.

 

You will also need to:

  • Identify different stakeholders (decision-makers)  and utilize the right approach to drive sales.
  • Ensure quality opportunity pipeline and strong hit rate.
  • Introduce new products and solutions to the customers.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, profitability and drive debt collections within own area.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we are perceived as highly customer Centric and collaborative ensuring one Company Culture.
  • Follow up on unit/project sales from quotation stage to awarding stage. Ensure that the final pump set selection is appropriate to the client's application by calculation.
  • Maintain existing customer base and assist in developing plans, budget and promotional activities.
  • Ensure full and proper documentation to be handed over to the customer service and engineering team during order processing.
  • Achieve marketing objectives, sales volumes and contribution targets.
  • Register all activities with customers in the global CRM tool, Ensure customer master data is updated on the portfolio of customers under their responsibility.
  • Independently develop and grow sales within own area of responsibility. 
  • Develop market knowledge to drive commercial activities.
  • Develop knowledge in the market on Grundfos solutions – explaining the benefit for the different customer groups within the customer's organization.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks or projects as and when required.       

 

 

Personal Qualities:

You will have either a successful track record of customer development and management within the sales industry or a technical understanding of the ‘industry’ customer base with a strong willingness to learn and be passionate about sales. To be successful you must have a hunter personality and be good at fulfilling projects from beginning to the end.
