As our new Industry Technical Key Account Manager, you will be applying your technical pump and application expertise to empower the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sales team across the water treatment market — from pump selection and solution development to customer training and technical support that drives real business results. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Industry OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Sales team, you'll create impact by bridging technical excellence and commercial success by delivering tailored pump solutions that solve complex water treatment challenges for OEM customers. The Technical Key Account manager will work on a hybrid schedule out of the Lenexa, Kansas or Brookshire, Texas site.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Provide daily technical support to the OEM Key Account Management team, including pump selection, technical data preparation, costing analysis, CIC reviews, and PN creation
- Develop and deliver technical training programs to build sales team competence in pump products, applications, and water treatment solutions
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, Service, and CSSC to achieve agreed sales targets and support new product launches
- Act as the technical and solution expert in customer interactions, events, and OEM sales meetings — adding value through deep application knowledge
- Develop new local solutions by combining product understanding, local market context, and customer needs, contributing to the team's knowledge base
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on quality issue resolution and troubleshooting for delivered products and solutions
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a technically skilled pump professional with a collaborative mindset, strong communication abilities, and a passion for translating complex engineering knowledge into customer value and commercial success. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
- 3–8 years of experience in pump engineering, applications, or technical sales support
- Solid understanding of the pump market, particularly water treatment applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP systems
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience supporting OEM sales organizations or key account management teams
- Familiarity with CRM tools and opportunity management processes
- Background in developing or delivering technical training programs

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $104,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
