What is the job about?
Grundfos Pumps Corporation is seeking a Sustainability Intelligence Intern to join its team working on Sustainability and Energy Efficiency.
As a Sustainability Intelligence Intern, you will be given opportunities to participate in department projects with the goal of helping to expand your technical education, research and data reporting and presentation skills.
Your main project will have a focus on creating a dashboard of energy efficiency rebate programs and incentives across the US. Activities will include working with the e-products team, researching programs, designing dashboards and reports, and partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management staff to share findings with the team.
This position dual reports to the Sales Development Director and the Senior Sustainability and Strategy Manager and will operate out of the Lenexa, KS, facility. Remote working will be supported.
Your main responsibilities:
- Work with the Sustainability Manager to understand Grundfos’ Net Zero goals, approach for the project and the evolving industrial sustainability landscape.
- Collaborate with the Lead Product Compliance Specialist and E-Products team to understand the scope of products and qualifications for rebate and incentive programs.
- Research programs at the state and federal level that offer incentives to industrial companies improving their energy efficiency.
- Contact agencies as needed to ensure accurate program and product data.
- Work with relevant product information to determine how best to present the programs pumps qualify for and the Grundfos products that meet those criteria.
- Develop a dashboard that is accessible by the Industry Energy Optimization and Sales teams.
- Develop recommendations on how to best present and use the programs and data to further energy optimization efforts and sales of energy-efficient industrial solutions.
- Present the dashboard and data to all relevant internal stakeholders and Grundfos partners.
Your background
Qualified candidates will be working towards a degree in Engineering or Business discipline. Other skills that we are looking for include:
- Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
- Strong research and data presentation skills with PowerBI experience considered a plus.
- A strong work ethic is highly important.
- Should be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment taking personal responsibility for assignment.
- Person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient using electronic tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams).
