What is the job about?  

Grundfos Pumps Corporation is seeking an Inside Sales Intern to join its Industry Sales team.

 

As an Inside Sales Intern, you will assist in defining, measuring, and analyzing the activities of the distribution touchpoints within the USA and Canada through collaboration with the regional sales team.

 

In this position you will work closely with District Sales Managers and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Lenexa, KS, facility. Remote working will be supported.

 

Your main responsibilities 

  • Use external marketing data (customer identification tools) like Manufacturers News Database, LinkedIn, news publications etc. to identify and qualify prospects for the APR.
  • Utilize internal marketing data (LRT & GTI) to mine and qualify customers for their APR.
  • Utilize any additional resources as determined through the course of the job to identify and qualify prospects.
  • The ISE Intern will maintain data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system relative to partners, accounts, and activities in their APR. 
  • Assist with monitoring and managing the IND/IND-Distributor CSC quote pipeline, prioritizing and proactively following up on quotes, and dispositioning quotes through the sales excellence pipeline process.
  • Provide aid to the District Sales Managers with closure of projects and open quotations.
  • Provide sales support to District Sales Managers (DSMs) and distribution partners to participate in closing an order or to facilitate and add value to the selling process. 
  • Collect all available data (i.e. open order reports, DSS/GES shipment schedule, pipeline data, etc.) to help develop a sales monthly forecast (Demand Planning)

 

Your background 

Qualified candidates will be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Engineering students are preferred as well as those who have taken business or marketing classes. Other skills that we are looking for include:

  • Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Good research, data presentation and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent PC skills with above average knowledge and use of Microsoft Office application programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as a good aptitude for learning and applying new systems and programs.
  • Analytical and systematic approach to business processes
  • Ability to develop and assist on presentations.
  • A strong work ethic is highly important. 
  • Person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
     

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in USA without support.
