What is the job about?

As an Area Sales Manager , you will have the opportunity to drive sales growth by achieving and exceeding defined sales targets, all while staying within your cost budget. Your main responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for handling sales within Water Utilities UK, specifically within the Southern Water and South East Water Geographical area. As our new Area Sales Manager  you will work within the framework of the company's strategies and policies with your primary focus be on securing profitable business.

 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated candidate to focus on our key account Southern Water. As the Area Sales Manager and Grundfos representative, you will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan to drive sales and meet and exceed sales topline targets. You must have the ability to develop and maintain a strong end-user, contractor, consultant, and distributor network to facilitate full execution of frameworks and ensure topline sales targets are met whilst consulting and giving exception customer service.

 

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • building and preserving excellent relationships with all external stakeholders, including end-users, design institutes, consulting firms, authorities, etc.
  • Adhering to our sales policies, procedures and systems .

 

Your background:

The ideal candidate may possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in Water or Wastewater Engineering / Environment Engineering, Some technical knowledge of our products and applications is a benefit to this role, although not essential.

Ideally you would have a good level of sales experience within a similar industry, in the and should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP CRM.

 

We imagine that you also may have: 

  • Experience with controls/automation equipment, typically used in the UK water industry.
  • Knowledge of pumping and associated equipment within the water industry
  • Technical background   
  • Ability to persuade and influence.
  • A good presenter and quality communicating skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change.
