Grundfos are looking for an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to look after our OEM customers in the South of the UK.  

The primary responsibility for this role is to drive sale through developing new sales opportunities as well as maintaining recurring business with existing customers. The ASM must be aware of development in the market and customers. 

As an ASM you must participate and drive trainings for customers and potential new customers to creating awareness of Grundfos offerings.  

 

Your key responsibilities in the role would be: 

 

  • Independently develop and grow sales within own area of responsibility 

  • Develop market knowledge to successfully drive commercial activities 

  • Develop knowledge in the market on Grundfos solutions – explaining the benefit for the different customer groups within the customers organization. 

  • Identify different stakeholders (decision makers)  and utilize the right approach to drive sales. 

  • Ensure quality opportunity pipeline and strong hit rate. 

  • Introduce new product and solutions to the customers.  

  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, profitability and drive debt collections within own area. 

  • Ensure knowledge sharing with the team and take responsibility for own competence development.  

  • Review substantial quotations and project bids. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we are perceived as highly customer Centric and collaborative ensuring one Company Culture.

  • Quality Opportunity Pipeline and Hit Rate 

  • Collaboration – internal/external 

  • Stakeholder management 

 

In this role you will report to the Sales Manager for OEM and collaborate with the OEM team and cross functionally within the cluster. 

 

  • Collaborates and ensure knowledge sharing with other Sales Engineers across Grundfos. 

  • Collaboration with other Sales Engineers within the cluster. 

  • Collaborates with other functions and teams. 

  • Act as a good example for Grundfos behaviors and support the one Company feel at the local site. 

 

 

We would expect you to have the following experience: 

 

  • Business and/or engineering qualification (not essential) combined with at least 3 years of relevant experience from a large company working in a similar role.  

  • Pump experience, ideally with OEM customers preferred but not essential  

  • Proven successful track record of working in an external sales role 

  • Understanding of Energy Optimization  

  • High level of English proficiency  - secondary European languages would be a bonus
