The role

The Aftermarket Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting profitable service sales in the Industry segment, including all principal duties and responsibilities indicated below.  The goal is to make Grundfos a strategic partner for Industrial end-user accounts in their effort of improving their pump system process and improving their environmental profile and system performance. The Aftermarket Sales Engineer must improve customer´s Grundfos assets and satisfaction within end-user markets in Industry; assist in the management of key accounts to secure and preserve long term service relationship.

 

In this role you will help develop and drive the aftermarket business in close collaboration with Industry Sales and Service Delivery stakeholders by immersing deeply with our end users, understanding their pains within maintenance, reliability and optimization.

 

To be successful in this role you will also be able to:

  • Have the technical experience and the ability to learn about the service products Grundfos offers, adding value and resource to the aftermarket sales process and gain market share.
  • Promote the Grundfos brand, its products and services
  • Provide support via maintenance and spare parts proposal management.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and target accounts.
  • Ensures that Grundfos delivers a maximum value proposition to the account.  (Delivery, service quality, response time, pricing, etc.)
  • Ensures accurate and dedicated maintenance of the CRM.
  • Prepares quotations and negotiates pricing and conditions with customers on a case by case basis, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing bi-weekly reports and focuses on fulfilling sales quota and profit objectives.

 

 Ideal Qualifications:

The below are ideal qualifications for the successful candidate:

  • Technical experience or qualifications in some of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Water Treatment.
  • Experience working on industrial end-user sites and good level of industrial application / process experience.
  • Proven success in sales of service products, preferably for pumps or other rotating equipment
  • Solution Sales professional, experience in managing accounts, pump sector experience ideally.
  • Consultative selling experience
  • Some working knowledge or understanding of hydraulics, pump systems, controls or rotating equipment, and all aspects of operation, installation and maintenance.
  • Dosing, Disinfection and Water Treatment experience is considered as a plus.
  • Ability to travel in the UK, appox 50% time
  • A good understanding of general IT systems.
  • Native English language
  • Location: ideally Midlands
