What is the job about?
Based at our HQ in Bjerringbro, Denmark, you will become a part of the Environmental, Health and Safety Center of Excellence (EHS CoE) team, consisting of 9 highly skilled EHS specialists based in Denmark, Serbia. Germany and UK. The EHS CoE team is responsible for deploying and implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability across the organization.
As the Lead Specialist in Water Management, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our EHS Strategy and achieving targets. You will work hands-on with water management, transforming complex cases into actionable plans. Your in-depth knowledge of legislation and its practical implications for Grundfos will enable you to ensure compliance. Moreover, you will drive our organization's understanding and commitment to context-based water management and contribute to sustainable water management practices and resilience.
Your main responsibilities
- Execute strategies to achieve and uphold a CDP A rating for water security
- Conduct comprehensive water risk assessments across our operations
- Build partnerships to address shared water challenges
- Ensure progress sharing and sharing of new legislation/trends with internal stakeholders
- Prepare accurate and timely water-related disclosures for CDP reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant water-related regulations and standards
- Analyse data related to water and system performance
- Collaborate with sustainability and finance teams to integrate water metrics into overall reporting
- Developing, maintaining and document EHS Business processes within the water management area
- Communicate our commitment to water security transparently and train stakeholders
You can expect approximately 30 travel days per year.
Your background
We are looking for our new go-to-person in regards of Water Management, who can contribute to the continued success of Grundfos. We are open to different backgrounds and experiences - the most important thing is that you have hands-on experience and are eager to learn more about this field. Furthermore, we imagine that you have:
• M.Sc. in environment science, sustainability or similar
• Experience with EU Taxonomy and CSRD (ESRS E2 and E3)
• Knowledge and hands on experience about CPD Water Security framework
• Experience in materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability reporting
• Have experience from working in an international cross-functional matrix organization
• English as a fluent language is needed both in speech and writing
