Job Description

Are you an expert in full-stack engineering? Can you set the directions for our full-stack development team? Are you motivated by developing systems that help improve the quality of work for our production sites globally? Then this might be an opportunity for you!
 

You will be joining a development team developing and maintaining applications for Grundfos production sites globally. We are designing for the best possible usability for our shop floor operators to maintain and improve high quality in production performance. The development team is based in Bjerringbro, Denmark.
 

Job description
Our Lead Developer is the anchor point of our technology stack to fit the solutions and for developing and maintaining cost-effective sustainable solutions. You will gatekeep the frameworks and patterns providing the foundation for the team to ensure the solution is supporting the required maintenance and improvements. You will identify competence gaps and suggestions on how to bridge them in the team.
 

You will actively participate as a developer in the team balancing the workload to reach team goals. We structure our daily work by SCRUM methodologies, and you will be joining a team of very committed and highly skilled developers.

You will be working with the latest technologies and tools from the Microsoft stack, and together with experts from our external partners and solution providers, we utilize cloud technologies, IOT and device connectivity to production equipment. Digitalization is a strategic activity in Grundfos and exploring new technologies is deeply rooted in our mindset. 
 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical direction and establish a solid tech foundation, practices, and quality metrics in collaboration with developers in other departments of the IT division.
  • Evolve software architecture with a focus on non-functional requirements.
  • Encourage the team to take ownership of architecture decisions and improve operational efficiency via automation.
  • Participate in the daily tasks within your Scrum Team: Estimate, develop and test new features in collaboration with the product owners/application owners and Scrum Master. 
  • Alignment of IT application architecture with the solution architect for Production IT.
  • Alignment with UX designers for good user experience design.
  • Develop .NET modules for the next generation Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to be used in Grundfos globally based on the Siemens Opcenter MES platform. 
  • Maintenance of existing applications in Azure cloud & on-premises, and development of new solutions.

 

What do you need to apply?
We are looking for a person with the skills and mindset to take up a lead role based on several years of experience with software development from a similar role. You center your decisions and recommendations with the end users in mind and aim to make their daily work easier. You enjoy growing an easy-to-maintain-code and high-quality-documentation mindset in your team.
 

You are familiar with unit tests and test automation. Experience with software development within an agile framework will be an advantage.
 

You will need experience with:

  • NET and C#, MS SQL databases, object-oriented programming
  • Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, Git, Azure Cloud
  • EF, Web development, scripting e.g. Powershell
  • UI interfacing: WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET
  • SOLID principles and design patterns


It is an advantage if you also know about:

  • CMMI or similar software development frameworks
  • Integration technologies like SOAP and Message Queue
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Cloud, Linux, open source communities like GitHub
  • Low/no code UI platforms
