As our new Lead Production Technician, you will be overseeing daily production operations, mentoring technicians, and driving continuous improvement to ensure we deliver high-quality pump solutions efficiently and safely. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Manufacturing Operations team, you'll create impact by Leading frontline production efforts that directly contribute to Grundfos's mission of pioneering solutions to the world's water and climate challenges..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring targets for quality, safety, and output are consistently met
- Mentor and support production technicians, providing hands-on guidance and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all production processes
- Communicate production status, escalate issues, and coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to maintain smooth workflow
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a technically skilled production professional with proven leadership ability, a strong safety mindset, and a passion for driving quality and efficiency on the shop floor. We would also imagine that you have:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with production equipment, assembly processes, or CNC machinery
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing context
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Trade qualification or technical diploma in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems such as SAP
