We are seeking a dynamic Product Owner to join our power electronics team and take ownership of our product development backlog. The Product Owner will be responsible for working closely with the Development Team to maximize their execution output and secure a product development backlog that is aligned with customer requirements.

What is the job about?

  • Lead power electronics design and development during the full product lifecycle from concept to production release.
  • Understand and lead design trade-offs, for example, with respect to thermal management and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Sign off on technical deliverables from scrum teams to ensure they meet technical requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Prioritize urgent tasks within a product group to maintain the delivery schedule.
  • Allocate activity budget within the framework given to ensure efficient use of resources.

 

Your main responsibilities:

The Product Owner is accountable for the Team Product Backlog.

Product Backlog management includes:

  • Represents the product development projects’ PD deliveries in the project management team, stakeholder reviews.
  • Optimizing the value of the work the Development Teams performs
  • Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next. We use Jira as our tool.
  • Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
  • Refinement of Epic’s cross functionally within the dependency of the Scrum team.
  • Prepare forecasting, estimates, risks and budget for product development within a product group.
  • Prepare short 0-12 month and long term 1-3 year Technical Product Lifecycle Management Plan as part of one consolidated Product group lifecycle plan / roadmap.
  • Drive the prioritizing of urgent tasks, i.e. quality Red Alerts, compliance and development project escalations or last time buy in close collaboration with Product Manager/Stakeholders.
  • Use agile approaches where relevant and traditional planning where uncertainty is low.
  • Align and agree on deliveries from capability pool outside PD on spec. and content (PD Software, Architecture, Digital and externals partners).

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering from a recognized technical institution.
  • Ability to communicate Business Development and Product Management decisions and background.
  • Expertise and experience in power electronics design
  • Product and customer understanding
  • Experience working in cross functional teams
  • Some experience from working in an international company
  • Some Agile experience and change management
