Do you have experience with sustainability and production technologies? Do you want to become an ambassador for sustainability and set the overall direction for sustainable manufacturing in Grundfos? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

 

As our new Lead Engineer, you will join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) division of more than 280 colleagues. You will be a part of Sustainable Manufacturing that with an entrepreneurial mindset increases the innovation height and makes Grundfos production more sustainable. The position is located in our HQ in Bjerringbro, and you will report to Senior Manager Sustainable Manufacturing, Leif Gram Nielsen.

 

What is the job about

The overall purpose of the job is to support the transformation of the production towards a more sustainable manufacturing in Grundfos, by working together with the rest of the organisation on finding, maturing, and implementing sustainable production technologies and solutions which will improve our environmental footprint and make Grundfos pumps more sustainable.

 

In this role, you will be the lead responsible across the program Sustainable Manufacturing initiative. You will be responsible for the roadmap both in terms of executing the process but also setting the direction and vision for where the initiative should be in the future.

 

Your accountabilities will include:

 

  • Develop and maintain an ambitious technology project roadmap that ensures the continuous decrease of the environmental impact of production processes in Grundfos.
  • Execute Technology project roadmap
  • Project manager for strategic projects
  • Change management – increased focus on sustainability in AME
  • Facilitation of workshops – e.g. ideation and sustainability workshops
  • KPI reporting
  • Evaluation of ideas
  • Network driver - Drive relevant networks within the sustainable manufacturing domain
  • Contact to relevant universities and external partners – overall responsible for university projects
  • Make sure that Best Practice is described and implemented ( Benchmark ) 

 

 

What do you need to apply

As our new Lead Engineer, we imagine that you:

  • Have a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Have 5+ years of experience in similar jobs
  • Have broad insight within different production technologies e.g. sheet forming, composite moulding or electronic production
  • Have experience with innovation and development of new technologies
  • Have experience with sustainability
  • Have experience with project and change management
  • Have knowledge of data analysis
  • Speak and write English fluently

 

As a person, you are outgoing and good at networking. You have great communication skills and can communicate with people on different levels. You enjoy team work and collaboration with various stakeholders, but are also able to work independent. You are able to take a holistic approach but can also go into details when necessary. As you are in front as our sustainability ambassador, you are goal-oriented and ambitious. Moreover, you are willing to take risk. You need to thrive in the uncertainty that may be in the beginning of these projects.
