As our new Lead Architect, Mechanical Architecture, you will drive key mechanical architecture decisions that connect product development and manufacturing. You will ensure designs are optimized for production, quality, and scalability across Grundfos’s global operations. What you will be doing
As part of the Mechanical Architecture team, you will help build scalable product platforms that support efficient manufacturing and enable innovative water solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and develop mechanical architecture standards across product platforms.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Architects, Chief Engineers, and Module Owners to improve producibility and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to align designs with global manufacturing strategies.
- Guide DP and NEI projects, ensuring alignment with mechanical platform principles.
- Collaborate with IT/OT stakeholders to incorporate digital manufacturing requirements.
- Support manufacturing optimization and standardization initiatives through architectural expertise.
What makes you a great fit
You are a systems-oriented mechanical engineer with strong design-for-manufacturing expertise and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product architecture, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of DFM principles, modular architectures, and platform strategies.
- Experience working across product development, manufacturing, and supply chain functions in a global environment.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with pump technology, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of IT/OT integration and digital manufacturing.
- Experience with modularization and platform-based product development.
