As our new Lead Application Manager, IT Cooling USA, you will be driving application excellence and industry collaboration across North America's IT cooling landscape from OEM co-creation and early specification influence to strategic partnerships with end users, standardization bodies, and research institutions, all while interfacing closely with our European hub. What you will be doing

 

As a key part of the OEM IT Cooling team, you'll create impact by pioneering advanced cooling solutions that help data centers and IT infrastructure operate more efficiently, sustainably, and reliably.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

 

  • Secure leading positions for Grundfos intelligent pumps within key North American standardization associations (OCP, ASHRAE) and industry communities through active participation and thought leadership
  • Serve as the regional application expert, supporting sales with advanced pump selection, customer co-creation, and optimized solution delivery across the full product portfolio
  • Identify external application trends and translate them into solution roadmap briefs, differentiation proposals, and development project inputs in close cooperation with the OEM IT cooling team
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with end users, universities, and research institutions to anticipate emerging technologies and market shifts
  • Specify customer requirements to advance the OEM IT cooling roadmap and accelerate creation of customer-specific solutions that drive new business and loyalty
  • Leverage data-based market analysis to accelerate, deprioritize, or mitigate risk across the solutions portfolio

 

What makes you a great fit

 

Above all, you are a technically strong application specialist with deep knowledge of cooling systems, ideally IT cooling who thrives at the intersection of innovation, commercial strategy, and industry collaboration. We would also imagine that you have:

 

  • Engineering degree with a focus on mechanical, thermal, or related disciplines highly preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in cooling applications, HVAC, or related technical fields
  • Strong application and system-level knowledge of pumping solutions or fluid handling technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, and engineering teams
  • This role will be in Brookshire, Texas and one must be able to work on a hybrid schedule 3 days per week in office.

 

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience in IT cooling applications or the OEM IT cooling ecosystem
  • Background in innovation processes — from ideation through commercialization of new offerings

The salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $157,000.00 USD. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.  The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
