In this position, you will apply your subject matter expertise and demonstrate strong technical and business insight. You’ll have the opportunity to work within a team and collaborate across functional areas, operating with limited supervision while delivering high‑quality results.

 

What is the Job all about?

 

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing a designated customer base, including preparing account plans, budgets, and executing promotional sales activities.

 

This role reports directly to the Sales Manager for Domestic Building Services and will be based in Kewdale, Western Australia.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers who would benefit from Grundfos products and services.
  • Implement value‑added solutions to strengthen customer relationships and overall satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain a robust project pipeline to support ongoing sales growth.
  • Collect market intelligence and provide insights on competitor activities.
  • Record all customer interactions and activities in the global CRM system.
  • Register and nurture opportunities in the CRM in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure customer master data is accurate and up to date for all accounts within your portfolio.

 

Your background:

  • Experience working with established processes in Domestic Building Services, plumbing, or irrigation industry.
  • Proven ability to lead processes or projects effectively.
  • Strong understanding of business processes within Domestic Building Services.
  • Typically brings 3–4 years of relevant professional experience, supported by formal education.
  • Solid knowledge of plans, procedures, and activities within the functional area.
  • Strong influencing and relationship‑building skills.
  • Good understanding of relevant systems, local regulations, and industry standards related to Domestic Building Services, plumbing, or irrigation industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Candidates must be based in the Western Australia or have the ability to relocate at their own expense.
