Shipping Specialist

Hybrid- Jakarta, Indonesia

 

 

What is the Job all about?

 

The purpose of this role is primarily to oversee activities related to international freight both inbound and outbound. This includes but not limited to shipment booking/monitoring, preparation of shipping documents, liaising with Freight Forwarders/3PL and provides support to internal stakeholders on their shipping related queries. The role will also support in conducting business reviews with Freight Forwarders and driving continuous improvement related activities within the team.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Shipment Execution, Booking, Preparation of Shipping Documents (Export shipments)
  • Shipment Monitoring, Delivery Status (Import Shipments) GTI/GPA……
  • Attending Non-Conformance Related Issues
  • Invoice Verification (Billing from Freight Forwarders)
  • Monthly Business Reviews with Freight Forwarders (Addressing all challenges and open issues)
  • Other ad hoc tasks such as continuous improvement, SOP review, actual delivery performance analysis etc. 

 

Your background:

 

  • Degree or Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Industrial & Management Engineering
  • With at least 4-5 years-experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics Industry handling shipments, preferably all mode of transport.
  • Preferably with experience in SAP
  • Ability to keep track open tasks until the issue is closed.
  • Able to show initiative and make decisions in the daily execution of job scope
  • Ability to adapt changes quickly, good multi-tasking skills and capable to interact with people from all levels
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and have ability to work in cross cultural environment
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and time management. Structured, process driven and pay attention to details.
  •  Open minded, result oriented and willing to accept challenges and learn new things
  • Proficient in MS office, particularly MS excel
  • Preferably with proven track record of work-related achievements
