Engineering
Senior Technology Development Engineer
Job Description

Are you passionate about bridging the gap between manufacturing equipment and enterprise systems to enable seamless, scalable production? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Senior Technology Development Engineer, you will be owning end-to-end system integration on final assembly lines, ensuring supplier-delivered solutions comply with Grundfos standards for interfaces, architecture, and connectivity across PLC, SAP, MES, and vision systems. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Final Assembly team, you'll create impact by driving seamless integration between production equipment and Grundfos production systems, enabling stable, traceable, and scalable manufacturing operations.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end integration of manufacturing equipment into Grundfos IT/OT systems, ensuring alignment with Line Software Architecture (LSA) standards
  • Specify and document all interfaces between equipment, PLCs, enterprise systems (SAP, MES), and traceability platforms
  • Act as primary technical interface towards equipment suppliers — driving design reviews, FAT/SAT validation, and ensuring compliance with Grundfos integration standards
  • Collaborate across automation engineers, digital manufacturing architects, production teams, and project managers to align architecture with implementation
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement of interface solutions

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a structured, detail-oriented integration specialist with hands-on experience across PLC platforms, SAP, and manufacturing systems, combined with strong supplier management skills and the ability to navigate complex system landscapes. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Proven experience with PLC systems across multiple platforms in a manufacturing environment (Siemens, Beckhoff, or Allen-Bradley)
  • Working knowledge of SAP interfaces (order handling, master data) and/or MES systems
  • Experience specifying and validating system interfaces in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Track record of leading technical collaboration with external equipment suppliers, including FAT/SAT processes

It is a plus if you also:

  • Background in vision/optics systems, traceability platforms, or pick-to-light systems
  • Manufacturing industry experience from automotive, electronics, or similar high-volume production environments

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  •  Annual bonuses, medical insurance, and a strong focus on well-being
  •  Hybrid working policy with organized transportation or fuel cost compensation
  •  Company-provided meals at the canteen, covered by Grundfos
  •  On-site gym access and sports activities such as football, table football, and basketball
  •  Discounts on employee purchases of Grundfos products
  •  Long-term career development with regular dialogue and continuous learning opportunities

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
