Senior Specialist Functional Materials

About the job:

Located in Serbia will be an integral part of our Mechanics Technology & Innovation team within Grundfos Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME). Your expertise will help scout and assess new functional and hybrid materials, including composites and metals. Additionally, you will explore, characterize, and validate material combinations and processing that can enhance our business.

As a Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and strengthening our capabilities within materials and material processing, ensuring insights and innovations are shared with colleagues across Group AME.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage New Technology Introduction (NTI) projects, with a focus on materials and material processing
  • Facilitate the scouting and assessment of new and/or functional materials
  • Explore, characterize, and evaluate novel material combinations
  • Provide input to technology road maps for future manufacturing advancements
  • Engage in internal and external professional networks, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in materials and processing technologies through continuous learning, literature, exhibitions, and conferences

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3 to 8 years experience in a mid-sized or large technical organization
  • Proven expertise in managing material scouting processes within manufacturing
  • Experience in technology development and collaboration with partners, including universities
  • Preferably with knowledge about composite manufacturing
  • Familiarity with relevant IT tools that support material research and development
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
