Would you like to be part of DCW Motor & Hydraulic team and be in charge of designing new products and delivering maintenance of mechanical parts to products within Domestic Cold Water ensuring an End-to-End perspective of the design?

Would you like to join the Motor & Hydraulic team, where you'll lead the design of innovative new products and drive the continuous enhancement and optimization of mechanical systems in our existing range of Domestic Cold Water Products?

 

 

  

What is the job about?

 

As our Senior Mechanical Development Engineer, you’ll ensure products comply with Motors & Hydraulic design principles & requirements ensuring robust transfer throughout the full value chain. You will be part of DBS (Domestic Building Services) Product Development DCW (Domestic Cold Water) Department.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to product development projects with a focus on robust, manufacturable design across the full value chain (End-to-End approach)
  • Ensure the production and procurement set up meets the mechanical design requirements
  • Verification and validation of the new or existing design including motor mechanics parts, tolerances, and system element integration.
  • Supporting factory control instructions
  • Ensure that component documentation meets the requirements
  • Ensure use of relevant standards including Grundfos standards
  • Comply with mechanical or other applicable workflows
  • Set the direction for a few technical areas within your own discipline
  • Mentor others and develop their professional skills
  • Perform necessary tasks to contribute to team success and timely project delivery.

 

Your background

  • Master or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience within mechanical development
  • Strong experience with planning own work and keeping track of time spent and quality in deliveries.
  • 2D/3D CATIA user.                        
  • Well documented understanding and ability to drive the relevant development systems and processes for hardware development.    
  • Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, laws and regulations for product development.
  • Strong drive to learn and coach colleagues.
  • System engineering knowledge would be a great advantage.
  • Structural analyses (FEA simulations)
  • Advanced communication skills in English, oral as well as in writing.
  • Proactive, curious and inspiring to work with.
