As our new Purchasing Specialist, Indirect, you will be managing indirect procurement activities that ensure Grundfos has the goods and services needed to operate efficiently — from professional services and IT to facilities and MRO supplies. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Indirect Procurement team, you'll create impact by Optimizing spend across indirect categories to deliver measurable cost savings while maintaining quality and supporting Grundfos's sustainability ambitions.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Execute sourcing events for indirect categories including RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations with suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance through KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective procurement strategies
- Analyze spending data to identify consolidation opportunities, cost reduction levers, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, preferred supplier agreements, and sustainability requirements
- Support contract lifecycle management including renewals, amendments, and onboarding of new suppliers
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented procurement professional with strong negotiation skills, analytical acumen, and the ability to build trusted partnerships across functions and with external suppliers. We would also imagine that you have:
- 3+ years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or purchasing within a manufacturing or corporate environment
- Technical background in fields of mechatronics and/or machining services
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiation techniques
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and data analysis tools such as Excel or Power BI
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with e-procurement platforms or source-to-pay tools (e.g., Coupa, Ariba)
- CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-cultural stakeholder engagement
