What you will be doing
As a key part of the DBS DCW Control Box team, you'll create impact by taking end-to-end ownership of power-electronics hardware that makes pumps smarter, safer and more efficient for millions of users worldwide.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Design electronic hardware for pump control systems, including mains input, power-conversion and motor-control circuitry with full consideration of protection, derating and thermal management
- Plan and conduct hardware testing, verification and validation to demonstrate compliance with product requirements, electrical-safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Analyse test data, troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes and verify design improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing and compliance teams to integrate hardware into complete product solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, test reports, DFMEA and safety FMEA
- Support prototype builds and contribute actively to design reviews throughout the product-development lifecycle
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you're a hands-on electronics engineer with 2-5 years of electronics development experience, a structured approach to problem-solving and a strong quality and safety mindset. We'd also imagine that you are/have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electronics or electrical engineering with 2-5 years of electronic hardware development experience (schematic design, component selection, prototyping, testing and documentation)
- Practical experience with power-electronics design, preferably involving mains-powered AC equipment, including analog/digital circuit design and power-conversion principles
- Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analysers, electronic loads, safety-test equipment) and circuit-simulation tools such as LTspice
- Understanding of electrical-safety principles and a quality mindset covering robustness, reliability, EMC and manufacturability
It's a plus if you also:
- Experience with motor-drive electronics, inverter topologies or PCB design using EDA tools such as Altium Designer, PADS or OrCAD
- Exposure to EMC/EMI design, testing and compliance activities
- Experience with DFMEA, safety FMEA, design reviews and supporting product industrialisation or manufacturing
Why you'll love working here
- A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
- Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
- Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering.
- On-demand training and structured development programmes to support your growth.
