Logistics, Supply Chain & Purchasing
Material Flow Engineer
Job Description

Are you passionate about optimizing how materials move through a production environment — designing smarter, leaner flows from warehouse to shopfloor? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Material Flow Engineer, you will be designing and implementing end-to-end material flow strategies that ensure the right materials reach production lines at the right time, in the right quantities, and in the most cost-effective way. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Supply Chain - Logistics team, you'll create impact by optimizing material flow across the shopfloor to drive production efficiency, reduce waste, and uphold the highest product quality standards..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Analyze material consumption data to design cost-effective delivery strategies from warehouse to point of use on the shopfloor
  • Define and implement material ordering strategies including kanban cards, visual kanban, and deliver-to-order methods
  • Assign and clearly mark points of use, temporary storage, and pick-up points for all materials and finished goods on the shopfloor
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering on floor layout, marking standards, and placement of scrap, WIP, and other materials
  • Participate in production line transfers and continuous improvement projects to optimize shopfloor layout and material flow
  • Maintain delivery routes and collaborate with external providers to ensure visual management standards are upheld

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with strong analytical skills and a genuine sense of ownership — someone who thrives on the shopfloor, takes pride in seeing tasks through to completion, and brings a reliable, solutions-driven mindset. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in material flow, logistics, or manufacturing operations
  • Strong proficiency in English and computer tools including Excel and DraftSight

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with SAP, particularly SAP WM
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting

Why you will love working here

  • A working environment built around your needs
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
