Engineering
Line System Integrator
Job Description

Are you passionate about bridging software systems and manufacturing equipment to create seamlessly integrated production lines? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy use, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Line System Integrator, you will own end-to-end system integration across final assembly lines — specifying interfaces, coordinating suppliers, and validating that PLC systems, SAP, MES, vision systems, and automation platforms work together flawlessly. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and belonging.

What you will be doing
As a key part of the Final Assembly Engineering team, you'll create impact by driving the digital backbone of our manufacturing operations, ensuring stable, scalable, and traceable production through robust system integration.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Own integration of manufacturing equipment into Grundfos production systems, ensuring compliance with Line Software Architecture (LSA) standards
  • Specify and document interfaces between equipment, PLCs, enterprise systems (SAP, MES), and traceability platforms
  • Act as the primary technical interface toward equipment suppliers — driving alignment workshops, design reviews, and FAT/SAT validation
  • Validate integrated systems against specifications, ensuring correct data flow, timing, and system behavior across IT and OT layers
  • Collaborate with automation engineers, digital manufacturing architects, production teams, and project managers to align architecture with implementation
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis on interface and communication issues, driving continuous improvement

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a structured, detail-oriented integration specialist with strong software architecture understanding and the ability to navigate complex system landscapes across stakeholders and suppliers. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing software and system integration across multiple subsystems (PLC platforms, MES, enterprise systems, third-party software)
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems in a multi-brand manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of software architectures and the ability to specify and control interfaces across IT/OT layers
  • Experience creating technical specifications and validating systems through structured test processes (FAT/SAT)

It is a plus if you also:

  • Experience with SAP integration or MES platforms in a production context
  • Background in vision/optic systems used in manufacturing
  • Industry experience from automotive, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environments

Why you will love working here
We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • Annual bonuses, medical insurance, and a strong focus on well-being
  • Hybrid working policy with organized transportation or fuel cost compensation
  • Company-provided meals at the canteen, covered by Grundfos
  • On-site gym access and sports activities such as football, table football, and basketball
  • Discounts on employee purchases of Grundfos products
  • Long-term career development with regular dialogue and continuous learning opportunities
