Peerless Pump Company, a leading USA pump manufacturer is seeking a Service Sales Manager that will be responsible for generating profitable Service sales, including all principal duties and responsibilities indicated below. This position reports to the National Sales Director and offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days at our Indianapolis, Indiana facility and two days working remotely from home.

What is the job about?
- Leads the sales process towards professional end-users with focus on products and service products within specific market industries of Commercial Building Service, Industry & Water Utilities.
- Calls on targeted professional end-user firms and distributors in the territory to increase awareness of Peerless, increase Peerless being selected as a supplier and help develop contracts in the territory.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers at existing and target accounts in coordination and cooperate with local sales management.
- Conduct product training sessions to increase awareness of the Peerless service portfolio and products.
- Support all aspects of the sales process and contribute to ensuring that Peerless delivers a maximum value proposition to the account.
- Responsible for developing monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales plans with goals and strategies to accomplish sales targets.
- Become highly educated in their target market areas and service products and bring added value and resources to the sales process resulting in gains and market share.
- The service sales manager is expected to understand the market position of Grundfos products and service products in their target markets and contribute to ensuring that the most advantageous price structure is put forward to maximize customer value.
- Actively participates in global, market specific, network meetings and interfaces with key product and other management personnel while staying abreast of the service industry trends, evolutions and applications.
- Promotes the Peerless brand, its products and services when necessary and demonstrates and instructs in their uses.
What do you need to apply?
- An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in technical education is required.
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant sales/commercial/technical experience.
- Product knowledge and experience with hydraulics and pumping systems is required along with all aspects of operation, installation and maintenance.
- Proven success in sales of service products, preferably centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps or other rotating equipment.
- Ability to travel at least 50% within the North American region. The candidate must be able to travel, have a valid driver’s license and be able to fly when necessary.
- Proven customer service experience and being a strong technical communicator.
