Peerless Pump, a Grundfos Company, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our Industry Sales team. The Regional Sales Manager will grow the Industry business by defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling the activities within their area of primary responsibility by following the company selling process. The region that this person will manage is Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. This role reports to our National Sales Manager and participates as an active member of their regional sales team. Must be able to travel 50% of the time. Candidate must be eligible to work in the USA without support. Relocation will not be provided for this role.

 

What is the job about? 

 

  • Providing Sales Excellence to existing and potential direct accounts (OEM, Wholesalers, National Accounts, Etc.) and distribution partners to participate in closing an order or to facilitate and add value to the selling process.  Additionally they will lead the efforts to implement company defined programs.
  • Be the brand, live the brand and present the brand, by building relationships throughout the entire sales channel.
  • Develop knowledge of the Geography, Markets, Applications and Accounts including market specific drivers, Key Decision Makers (KDM), competitors, and economic conditions; The RSM will develop, maintain and execute a territory plan to grow the business and increase Peerless Pump market share.
  • Assess current distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans.
  • Provide training on Peerless Pump products, applications, and sales processes ensuring that partners become self supportive and that they effectively represent the Grundfos brand to customers; The RSM will provide / facilitate training and education to all levels of the sales channel.
  • Maintain data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system relative to partners, accounts, and activities (e.g. calls, visits, etc.) in their APR.
  • Manage and report expenses, prepare a monthly reports, effectively use Concur and complete tasks in accordance with specific Grundfos policies and procedures.

 

What do you need to apply?  

 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with a technical discipline (e.g. engineering, business or marketing) along with 3 – 5 years of pump experience.

  • Professional sales skills as taught at the PDJA, including key account strategies and plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market segment to which the RSM is assigned and a general knowledge of the other Peerles Pump target markets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, rotating equipment including electronically controlled pump systems (VFD, controllers, etc.) for the target market  to which they are assigned.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective product presentations at all levels of management and for all sizes of audiences for both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Ability to manage individual expense budget and work with regional team to plan and stay within the regional expense budget. 
  • Analytical and systematic approach to business processes, Green Belt certified perferred.
  • Excellent PC skills with above average knowledge and use of  Microsoft Office application programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as a good aptitude for learning and applying new systems and programs.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.  
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
