Peerless Pump, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking a Fire - AE Team Lead and will report to the CSC Director - Fire SBU.
The Fire AE Lead will be responsible for day to day resolution of issues within the AE team and will operate out of the Indianapolis, IN facility.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the role about?
The AE Team Lead will provide training and foster an atmosphere of teamwork within the team, external Sales, and internal support mechanisms
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
AE Lead Duties:
- Lead by example by conducting yourself and your work with accordance with Peerless and Grundfos key values.
- Be front line contact for issue resolution, training, and coordination of day-to-day work activities.
- Serve as the front-line escalation path for RSM and Customer issues and own responsibility of the team’s performance.
- Keep pulse on team’s workload, moral and performance.
- Conduct weekly team meetings to review team performance and wellness feedback, disperse key information and review customer needs.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts with the AEs, both top-down driven directives and team driven initiatives.
- When an issue arises, guide the team in finding solutions to problems.
- Notify CSC Director of concerns, issues or potential future issues with the AE team or any business partners/suppliers.
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation between the various AE teams.
- Foster collaboration efforts with other groups such as RSMs, Purchasing or CSRs.
- Provide formal feedback and goals as part of individual member’s PDD process.
AE Duties:
- Creates higher level documentation for nonstandard products.
- Reviews product specifications and provides advice when required.
- Review and approves formal quotations based on delegation and authority procedures.
- Assesses advanced product applications to determine proper selection of pumps.
- Provides custom pricing support to the AE team members.
- Responsible for monthly analysis of quotation activity.
- Coordinates with product engineering with custom product orders.
- Responsible for high level product troubleshooting and installation assistance.
- Provides product training for new products, new employees, and existing employees in customer support centers.
- Handles escalated customer product complaints and documenting within the CRM system.
- Responsible for trend reporting of product complaints from the CRM system.
- Assists product specialists with program management projects, duties, and services.
- May be asked to assist with AE I and AE II tasks during peak times.
- Required to meet or exceed Customer Support Center quality assurance standards on a consistent basis.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors of Science Degree required, Engineering or Technical curriculum preferred.
- 5-7 years of AE, product engineering or equivalent experience.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of Peerless products and pumping applications.
- Knowledge of pump calculations and energy estimating.
- Must possess the ability to create innovative solutions to meet unique applications.
- Sufficient education and experience to learn, troubleshoot, and train others in applications, the systems which use of Grundfos products.
- Ability to work with all levels of customers.
- Ability to communicate highly technical concepts in simplified terms.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot products specific to the role.
- Computer experience with PCs, SAP, CAD software, Microsoft applications, enterprise & e-mail systems, and relevant product sizing software.
- Strong Customer Service skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel via normal commercial modes both within the US and internationally.
- Domestic travel may be required. Total travel is estimated at approximately 5% annually. Candidate must be able to maintain a valid passport and maintain a valid driver’s license
