As our new Facilities Specialist, you will be managing the building, grounds, and utility infrastructure of an industrial manufacturing facility with a high level of autonomy — planning, overseeing, and executing routine maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects that ensure uninterrupted operations. What you will be doing


As a key part of the Facilities & Maintenance team, you'll create impact by Ensuring the long-term viability of our manufacturing facility by optimizing building systems, reducing environmental impact, and driving smart capital investments that support Peerless Pump's mission of pioneering solutions to the world's water and climate challenges..


Your main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain all facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, roofing, lighting) and grounds in safe, operational condition — including repair, replacement, and installation of new assets
  • Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities using CMMS (UpKeep) to minimize production disruption
  • Manage the facilities budget including annual planning, monthly forecasting, and expense approvals; develop business cases for capital investments
  • Obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and coordinate external contractors and suppliers for facility projects and services
  • Ensure facility compliance with all applicable codes, laws, and regulations; audit systems regularly for safety and efficiency
  • Partner with EHS personnel to identify opportunities that reduce resource consumption, waste, and overall environmental impact
  • Will require some afterhours calls when emergency situations arise.  This role will be hands on work in a non-conditioned and air conditioned environment.   This role will require the ability to be on feet most of the day

What makes you a great fit


Above all, you are a hands-on facilities professional with strong analytical skills, proven experience managing building systems in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to balance technical problem-solving with budget management and project leadership. 


We would also imagine that you have:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent *required
  • 3-5 years of experience leading facilities engineering and/or maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and roofing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel minimum) and ability to read architectural blueprints


It is a plus if you also:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Facilities Maintenance, Commercial Construction Management, or related field
  • Working knowledge of SAP maintenance modules and CAD systems (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
  • Experience working with city/county/state officials and utility companies; veterans with related technical MOS experience are strongly encouraged to apply

The salary range for this position is $65,900-$97,880 (exempt).  Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile.  The range listed is just one component of Peerless Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.  Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.  Peerless Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
