Peerless Pump, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking a Digital Test Intern to join its Digital Innovation Team. The Digital Test Intern will collaborate directly with the Digital Innovation Team and various members throughout the Peerless Pump organization, along with external partners.
This position reports directly to the Senior Digital Manager, FireConnect, while taking functional direction from the Digital Solutions Engineer, and will operate out of the Indianapolis, IN facility.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about?
- Operate, maintain and trouble-shoot the testing equipment and software used in the Digital Innovation Test Lab
- Design test cases of equipment and software fault conditions to improve robustness of the product offering
- Validate User Interface performance ensuring system acts as expected
- Document issues for correction with external partners when discovered during testing
- Using digital and analog signals to initiate an IOT cloud-based reaction, along with connecting to, and reading, external Modbus data and aggregating into our User Interface
- Working closely with the Digital Solutions Engineer to deliver a fully validated product
What do you need to apply?
- Qualified candidates should be 2nd year or higher post secondary education (equivalency) working toward a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, software or other technical background.
- Fluent in English [verbal and written]
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving team environment
- Strong understanding of IOT (including Analog 4-20mA and Digital devices), Modbus TCP/IP & RS-485 and other cloud-based devices
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, particularly with the Digital Solutions Engineer
- Strong organizational and documentation skills to provide technical write-ups for external partners to review and update software
- Candidates should be able to maintain valid identification
