Peerless Pump Company, a Grundfos subsidiary, is seeking an experienced Customer Service Supervisor-Fire SBU to join its Application and Solutions Engineering team.  The Customer Service Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of Fire Pumps and Parts Customer Service.  Includes Order Management functions (Order Entry, ETO Quoting, and Customer Service) for Parts business.  Promote continuous improvement in all front end transactional processes (measured in lead time reductions, order accuracy improvement, and on time performance).  Ensure best in class responsiveness and customer service for all aspects of business. The Customer Service Supervisor will collaborate with Sales RSMs, Sales management, Digital Sales Management on a regular basis.  This position reports directly to the CSC Director and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Indianapolis, Indiana facility.  Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about? 

 

  • Works closely with sales to generate and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Develops customer service and operational metrics and targets and ensures that the business achieves them.
  • Effectively supervise while driving Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities.
  • Recruits, trains, develops, motivates and retains high quality team.
  • Develop all functions to provide best in class customer service (internal and external).
  • Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
  • Directs, trains & supervises all Pump CSR / Parts CSRs.
  • Promotes company Quality policy at all levels and in all administration. Actively encourages feedback and implements employee’s ideas.
  • Conducts timely and meaningful performance appraisals in line with company policies.
  • Actively develops and trains personnel for personal growth so that they can become team members with the potential for further growth within the company. Promotes a culture of lifelong learning and education.
  • Encourages personnel to become trained and actively participate in company initiatives.


What do you need to apply? 

 

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. Candidaate will have 5+ years proven level of experience in manufacturing / production / or administrative management with successful management of production / administrative employees.

  • A solid basic technical and engineering knowledge. Knowledge of centrifugal pump applications, manufacturing, repair or engineering.
  • Ability to make professional presentations in front of large groups.
  • High interpersonal and communication skills. Used to working with personnel at all levels including Senior Management and Customers.
  • A self-starter who is able to work in a team environment
  • Experience with complex sales channels and customer service skills.
