Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Crane Technician to join its Indianapolis Maintenance & Engineering team.

As our new Crane Technician, you will be inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial cranes and rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and uptime across our manufacturing operations. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Manufacturing Maintenance & Engineering team, you'll create impact by ensuring the reliability and safety of crane operations that keep our production lines moving and our people protected..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on overhead, gantry, and jib cranes as well as rigging equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals
- Conduct load tests and functional tests to verify proper operation of cranes and lifting equipment
- Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately and on time
- Train fellow employees on safe crane operation and rigging practices
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize crane service needs and minimize downtime
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and proven expertise in industrial crane maintenance and repair.
We would also imagine that you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent with expert-level experience in electrical installation up to 480V *required
- Maintain crane certification (or ability to secure certification) through NRCT in accordance with ASME B30 and CMAA 70-74-78 standards *required
- Strong proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
It is a plus if you also:
- Technical or vocational training in mechanics, electrical systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a crane technician with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing industrial cranes
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks and aerial lift equipment

The salary range for this position is $57,400-$76,055 (paid hourly, non-exempt). Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Peerless Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Peerless Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
