As our new Configuration Engineer for Peerless Pump, you will be designing and processing customer orders by configuring bills of materials, managing SAP configurations, and building complete production packages that ensure every pump order meets exact specifications.

What you will be doing
As a key part of the Order Engineering team, you'll create impact by ensuring every customer order is accurately configured and documented, directly enabling on-time delivery of reliable Grundfos pump solutions worldwide.
Your main responsibilities are to:
- Conduct order reviews to verify scope of supply, performance guarantees, documentation, calculations, and testing requirements.
- Configure and create bills of materials in SAP using standardized design calculations and engineering tools for the product line.
- Build complete production packages for manufacturing including product-specific instructions, shop documentation, and purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate with sales, application engineering, and design engineering to clarify deviations, resolve product limitations, and address commercial liabilities.
- Create and maintain Material Masters, drawing revisions, and part attribute data through the engineering change process in SAP.
- Review CRM inquiries and initiate order processing requests for pump orders, new materials, and engineering support.
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented technical professional with strong critical reasoning skills, ERP system experience, and the ability to bridge communication between engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams. We would also imagine that you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in order processing, design, or applications.
- Data entry experience with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency with standard MS Office programs.
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with pump or rotating equipment product configuration.
- Knowledge of SAP CRM and material master data management.

The salary range for this position is $62,100 - $85,630. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.
Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, IN.
