As our new Client Service Specialist, you will be liaising between customers and production, for custom-made pump solutions in the water utility and industry sectors. What you will be doing

As a key part of the customer service team, you'll create impact by coordinating end-to-end order fulfillment for made to order pump solutions that keep critical water infrastructure running reliably.

Your main responsibilities are to:

  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned accounts, managing all customer quotes, orders, and project timelines from purchase order through delivery.
  • Develop delivery schedules for custom-made pump projects, balancing customer requirements with operational capacity and business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, and Warranty teams to resolve complex customer inquiries and escalated issues.
  • Provide lead time quotes, technical order documentation, and status reports to customers throughout the order life cycle.
  • Coordinate customer change orders and logistics requirements, including authorizing RMAs for returned materials.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improved service delivery and recommend process improvements that impact business operations.

 

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a proactive, resourceful coordinator with customer service experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both customers and production teams. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Experience in customer service or order management roles requiring project coordination across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment on when to escalate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and comfort with ERP systems.

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Pump industry knowledge or experience with made-to-order / custom manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, CRM, or Business Warehouse.
  • Vocational certificate, Associate's degree, or equivalent experience, preferably in an engineering discipline.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $73,075. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc.

Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, IN.
